Amidst the Chaos

What if your familiar reality is nothing but a maze of trick mirrors? What if you yourself are a mere part of this self-interpreting entity, a distorting mirror?
This project started with me looking for parallels between Nietzsche's eternal recurrence and fractals, but I ended up exploring the idea that objective perception is impossible.
This paper sculpture is symmetrical and consists of two visually identical parts that, as one moves away from the centre, grow less and less similar to one another.
The exact dimensions of this paper behemoth are 150 x 46 x 55 cm, but it felt like I was working on something as huge as the Tower of Babel.

Participated in the Home-:-Work exhibition

Home : Work was a series of 124 exhibitions held in the flats, dachas, and gardens of artists during the lockdown.
To implement my idea, I used coloured paper, foam board, cellulose film, and even cellophane because there was an art supply shortage due to the lockdown.
Then I painted over the cutouts and glued everything together. It took me some four months to complete this project.
